It's been a while since I was on here so I thought I better catch up!
I took some time off this year from traveling to spend more time with my son Kade. This is his last year of school and it's hard to say what the future holds.
I had a ranch clinic this summer in July that was a lot of fun. The weather was awesome, we had a group of good people that were all dedicated to their horsemanship, they had a chance to ride with a superb horseman and just all around good guy "Roland Moore". Roland has been a friend and mentor to me for many years now, his role has played a big part in my life. Roland and his wife Robbin opened up their Ranch to everyone that day as if they had known everyone for years.
In August I made another trip to Brazil for a colt starting clinic at a college. It proved to be a great trip and the people their were very interested in my approach with horses. It was great that they were so interested in a new philosophy. Sounds like I will be going back there in April.
Kade and I were able to ride our colts this summer checking cows for the neighbor. We had a good time checking and doctoring the cattle and it was fun to pass down the ideas to him that Roland had passed down to me. Roland helped us with our horses and some of our ropeing shots so we practiced everyday on those things.
This fall we stayed busy gathering and shipping cattle for various neighbors, needless to say we got a lot of riding time in!
Work here at home has slowed down so I am going to be in Duvall, Washington this winter. I am staying with some good friends of mine Dave and Denice Clarke.
I hope everyone has a good and safe Christmas and I hope to see you all very soon.
